This Privacy Policy governs your use of the SchoolCam App (the “Application”) created by Bitwise Software SL for use on a mobile device. The Application is specifically designed to prioritize data security and privacy by allowing users to take photos and videos, which are automatically uploaded to a Google Drive account approved and provided by the school.
Importantly, the photos and videos taken or imported by the app are never stored on any intermediary server. At no point does SchoolCam retain or access the files, ensuring that sensitive data remains under the school’s exclusive control. Instead, all files are securely uploaded directly from the user’s mobile device to the school’s designated Google Drive account. This means that the school maintains complete ownership and oversight of the data at all times, leveraging the robust security features of Google Drive for safe storage and management. This direct transfer mechanism is a core feature of SchoolCam, aligning with our commitment to safeguarding user privacy and adhering to stringent data protection standards.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
To operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of the SchoolCam Application, we may collect certain technical information, including but not limited to the user’s IP address, device type, operating system, and app usage statistics. This data is collected to ensure optimal performance, diagnose technical issues, and enhance the overall user experience. Additionally, we collect the email addresses of users as a unique identifier within the application. This allows us to manage user accounts, provide personalized support, and ensure secure access to the application’s features. All collected information is handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws and is used solely for the purpose of delivering and improving the application’s functionality and user experience.
This Application does not collect information about the location of your mobile device. If you decide to geo-locate the photos taken with the app, the Application may ask you to enable Location Services so the Application can get location information and read photos stored on your devices that have location information stored on them. We do not use location information for any purpose other than being able to access the photos stored on your device as required by Apple or Google.
Security procedures such as encryption are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. We do not store any personal data other than the one described above and all the photos and videos taken in the app are stored directly in the school's provided Google Drive without being stored in any intermediary server.
Third Parties
Third party analytics providers may access data on our behalf. We may work with analytics companies such as Google Analytics to help us understand how the Application is being used, such as the frequency and duration of usage, the type of device being used and other non-personally identifiable information so we can deliver a better experience and improve the Application.
We may disclose Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with trusted service providers who work on or behalf; and
- if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, third-parties that may collect information about your use of the Application. For example, Apple and Google collect information about those who obtain the Application through their services, and may make this information available to Bitwise Software SL. In addition, when using third-party sites such as Google Drive, the privacy policies of those sites shall control the collection, storage and sharing of your data and such policies cannot be controlled by Bitwise Software SL. Data Retention and Deletion Policy

Our system is designed to automatically delete or anonymize this data once it is no longer necessary for the provision of our services or upon the expiration of a predetermined retention period. Users have the right to request the deletion of their data at any time, and we guarantee a prompt and thorough response to such requests, ensuring that their information is removed from our records in accordance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Our organization places the highest priority on the privacy and security of our users' data. In line with this commitment, we explicitly prohibit the sale, trade, or transfer of any user data to third-party entities. Children
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at info@schoolcamapp.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here: https://schoolcamapp.com/privacy-policy.php.
